Project Description
Commerce selected Launch Industries (Launch) as the prime contractor for their Cannabis Social Equity Technical Assistance Grant Program Consultant. Commerce sought consultants to develop a comprehensive program, provide online technical assistance in business plan development, implement a mentorship program, and administer two (2) grant programs.
Project Role
GCAP was selected as a subconsultant by Launch to develop and administer a mentorship program for Cannabis Social Equity Applicants (SEAs). SEAs live in disproportionately impacted areas, have been convicted of a cannabis offense, had a family member convicted of a cannabis offense, or meet other criteria defined in the rule by the Liquor and Cannabis Board. Our services include the following:
- Assessing current mentorship program
- Defining new program vision and plan
- Developing mentorship requirements and applications
- Identifying and screening mentors
- Outreaching to potential mentees
- Selecting mentees
- Matching mentors and mentees
- Administering and monitoring on-going relationships
- Coordinating group events
