5 Phases of DEI Strategy & Integration

1Preparation
Get the conversation started, gain buy-in from the leadership team, and ensure there is a strong commitment for DEI.
2Assessment & Review
Collect and analyze the data to identify and address potential gaps. This is the time to review policies, programs, and practices.
3Planning & Development
Use the gap analysis to support the development of DEI plan or policy or both. Finalize, approve, and distribute the plan to all relevant stakeholders.
4Implementation & Monitoring
This plan involves putting the organization's DEI initiatives into action. It also includes adjusting the work to align with the organization's priorities.
5Version Next
Ensure a continuous assessment of DEI initiatives. This can be accomplished by maintaining a DEI Metrics Dashboard and having regular occurring meetings.
