FTA’s 2016 Certifications and Assurances have been loaded into TrAMS, so your recipient organization may now review and PIN its FY 2016 Certifications and Assurances (C&As) in TrAMS. This message is being distributed to officials, attorneys, and points of contact for grants. If you serve in more than one of those roles, you will receive multiple notifications.
The Certifications and Assurances also will be published in the Federal Register within the next few days. Recipients applying for federal assistance under any of FTA’s discretionary capital programs (e.g., New Starts, Small Starts, or Core Capacity Improvement) or formula programs, are expected to PIN their FY 2016 Certifications and Assurances within 90 days from the date they are published in the Federal Register. If applying for an alternate program, e.g., for a Research, Development, Demonstration, and Deployment assistance, FTA expects organizations to PIN the FY 2016 Certifications and Assurances with the submission of an application for federal assistance or an amendment soon thereafter.
The Certifications and Assurances will remain available in TrAMS throughout FY 16, should recipients need to revise their C&As. To PIN C&As, your official and attorney must create a new PIN for use in TrAMS. To assist you, FTA has posted quick-reference presentations on setting up a PIN and How to PIN Certifications and Assurances. Additionally you may refer to the TrAMS User Guide. Recipients experiencing technical difficulties can contact the TrAMS HELP desk at 1-877-561-7466 or FTA.TrAMS.Help@dot.gov.
