Project Description
The SDCWA sought a consultant to develop and implement a small business skills training for the purpose of helping companies successfully do business with the Authority.
Project Role
GCAP developed the structure and branding for this program which we named the Small Contractor Outreach and Opportunities Program (SCOOP). Our team managed and performed all SCOOP related services including:
- Facilitating training sessions and mentoring to assist small businesses to become more successful in bidding, securing and performing on SDCWA contracts. Trainings facilitated included: Doing Business with SDCWA, Proposal Development, Project Management, Bidding/Estimating, and Marketing
- Providing small businesses with one-on-one mentoring services
- Facilitating quarterly SCOOP business focus groups to gather feedback to improve future trainings and program offerings
- Supporting SCOOP’s annual Paths to Partnership Networking Forum including event planning and recruitment, developing workshops, and creating marketing materials
