Project Description
SANDAG selected GCAP Services to provide Civil Rights and Environmental Justice consulting services.
Project Role
GCAP is responsible for the following tasks:
- Reviewing programs and projects and advising on compliance with social equity laws and regulations
- Assisting agency in filing of all necessary social equity law documentation with state and federal government agencies
- Developing draft documents for the Title VI Program update required by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA)
- Working with agency to ensure Title VI and Environmental Justice reports are completed accurately for applicable programs, projects, and policies
- Reviewing scopes of work and other project information to assess need for Social Equity Analysis, as requested by Project Managers
- Draft Language Assistance Plan updates
- Review documentation, website, and outreach activity by SANDAG for complinace with SANDAG Language Assistance Plan and provide recommendations for improvement
- Providing annual revisions as needed for the social equity guiding handbook
