Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP) – TRC Companies (TRC)

Haynes Generating Station Units 3-6 Demolition Project

Project Name

Los Angeles Department of Water & Power (LADWP) – TRC Companies (TRC) – Haynes Generating Station Units 3-6 Demolition Project

Project Description

The LADWP selected TRC as the prime contractor for the Haynes Generating Station Units 3-6 Demolition Project. The proposed project would include the removal of these units which were originally constructed more than 5 decades ago, to minimize health and safety risks and reduce future maintenance.

Project Role

GCAP was selected as a subconsultant to provide onsite document control, project support and office administration. GCAP provided key support to Project Managers onsite, 40 hours per week.  Our team was responsible for office management and the creation, modification, routing, retrieval, and storage of all project documents. We performed office and project administration duties including scheduling meetings and taking meeting minutes, following up on action items, ordering supplies, receptionist duties, planning office events, providing IT support, and much more. GCAP processed documents and maintained workflows in accordance with procedures and guidelines using Procore, an on-line document management control system. We were responsible for tracking conditional and unconditional waivers in addition to preliminary notices and insurance requirements. We processed and managed pay applications, invoices, and purchase orders and lead, developed, and maintained documents such as daily reports from subcontractors working in the field. Our team also developed new hire packets and conducted new hire orientation.
