Project Description
GCAP was selected as a subconsultant by C.W. Driver Construction to provide labor compliance services for the Innovation and Instruction Building project at Cal State Dominguez Hills.
Project Role
GCAP was responsible for a variety of tasks including:
- Securing, collecting, and reviewing weekly Certified Payroll Reports for all covered work performed
- Ensuring all documents were maintained in an “audit ready” inspection format
- Researching and interpreting laws, codes, and regulations affecting the enforcement of prevailing wage rates
- Providing information and data on trades and trade classifications performing on the project
- Issuing discrepancy notices as needed and calculating and making recommendations to withhold contract payments/retention
- Conducting onsite interviews
- Verifying proper regulatory posting requirements were met at jobsite locations (in compliance with the EEO posting requirements) and photographing jobsites and work being performed
