Project Description
SCWD sought a professional services consultant to ensure contractor compliance with the Labor Code, prevailing wage, and PLA requirements on their Doheny Ocean Desalination project.
Project Role
Our team performs the following services:
- Arranging and participating in pre-job conferences
- Monitoring prime and subcontractors use of apprentices and journeymen to ensure compliance with applicable prevailing wage and Labor Code requirements
- Monitoring certified payroll
- Identifying and rectifying compliance issues
- Assisting to resolve work stoppages and lockouts
- Conducting audits of payroll records when necessary
- Responding to requests for document requests pursuant to the Labor Code and the California Public Records Act
- Ensuring the terms of the PLA are consistently applied
- Liaising with SCWD and contractors regarding PLA compliance
- Conducting jobsite visits
- Maintaining project files
