Caltrans Workshop: Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Certification
June 13, 2017
U.S. Department of Transportation Announces $226.5 Million Funding Opportunity to Improve Transit Bus Service
July 12, 2017

Attend a Webinar on Required DBE Goals for FTA Subrecipients

Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 26 (49 CFR 26) establishes requirements for the use of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) on all federally-funded projects.  In October 2016, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) approved a revised triennial DBE goal and methodology for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans).  This new DBE goal and methodology, which is different from past practices, will be in effect for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2017 through FFY 2019.  It applies to all agreements between Caltrans and its FTA subrecipients that were executed on or after October 1, 2016 and funded—in whole or in part—with FTA dollars.

To help subrecipients understand their responsibilities regarding 49 CFR Part 26 including DBE Contract Goals, GFE and Race-Neutral/Race-Conscious Measures, Caltrans is offering a webinar on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, from 9:00 A.M. and Noon (PDT).  The live webinar can be viewed at the URL below.  Audio for the webinar may be heard using the Call-In Number further below.

As attendance may be limited, Caltrans requests that subrecipients with multiple attendees view the webinar as a group.  All subrecipients are highly encouraged to attend the webinar to learn more about DBE requirements under 49 CFR Part 26.

Please feel free to contact Ms. Lea M. Simpson at (916) 654-7184 or Lea.Simpson@dot.ca.gov should you have any questions or need immediate technical assistance with DBE.
