Next week, FTA will unveil the Transit Award Management System (TrAMS) to award and manage federal funding. TrAMS replaces TEAM, FTA’s previous grants management system, to provide greater efficiency and improve transparency and accountability. The new system allows transit agencies to more easily apply for and report on federal funding and provides a one-stop shop for FTA to manage and monitor how transit funding is used to provide public transportation nationwide.
On February 16, FTA will open TrAMS to grantees. We will send user log-in information and instructions to former TEAM users. Learn how to become proficient using TrAMS by registering for one of our training sessions.
Thanks to input from stakeholders as the platform was developed and tested, TrAMS includes features that address needs identified by transit agency users. Agencies may file simple applications or larger more complex applications, including those with more than one FTA funding source in a single grant. TrAMS moves to an almost entirely electronic workflow, eliminating most of the antiquated paperwork requirements of TEAM. Check for resources on the TrAMS webpage, including a user guide, a toll-free HELP number, and recorded presentations, starting February 16.
