The Study is being conducted to determine whether there is evidence of discrimination, or its effects, in California’s transportation contracting industry.
We want to hear about :
- Your experiences doing business in the local transportation contracting marketplace and working with Caltrans and local governments.
- Whether you believe you have been treated fairly based on your race, ethnicity, or gender.
- Your experience obtaining work on projects.
- Your business’s experiences with obtaining financing, bonding, and insurance.
Public testimony, or anecdotal information (personal accounts and perceptions of incidents – including incidents of discrimination), is an essential component of a successful Study. Public meetings will be held at locations throughout the state in early November to gather testimony. Please see the attached flyer for meeting dates, times, and locations.
