What are DBE Supportive Services?

DBE Supportive Services are designed to provide guidance and support to increase highway construction and professional service DBE firm participation in federally funded projects through:

These FREE services are offered to certified and potential DBE firms that are interested in getting contracts and subcontracts on Caltrans projects. If you qualify as a DBE firm, but have not yet gone through the certification process, you are eligible to participate in the Program.  You can attend our free workshops by simply registering online.  By completing a Needs Assessment, you can receive free technical assistance, including help completing and submitting your DBE certification application.

Are you Eligible?

A DBE is a for-profit small business concern that is at least 51 percent owned by one or more individuals who are both socially and economically disadvantaged. In the case of a corporation, 51 percent of the stock is owned by one or more such individuals; and, whose management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more of the socially and economically disadvantaged individuals who own it.  If you qualify as a DBE firm, but have not yet gone through the certification process, you are eligible to participate in the Program.
